400 raised and lowered dots turning the proportions of milk into a field inspired by spilled liquid.

Milk Spilled translates the nutritional composition of milk into a textile structure. Each of the 400 dots represents 0.25% of the whole: 3% protein, 3% fat, 5% carbohydrates and 89% other content. The dots vary in color and pile height, creating a surface that shifts from lighter, higher areas to darker, lower areas.

Hand-tufted in 100% New Zealand wool, the rug uses five white-blue tones. The composition is inspired by spilled milk on a light blue table, bringing a familiar accident into a precise textile system.
