200 raised and lowered dots arranged as an arrow from the proportions of a clam.
Clam Arrow translates the nutritional composition of a clam into a textile structure. Each of the 200 dots represents 0.5% of the whole: 14% protein, 2% fat, 0% carbohydrates and 84% other content. The arrow pattern turns these proportions into a visual field of changing color and pile height.
Hand-tufted in 100% New Zealand wool, the rug uses five blue tones and different pile heights to make the information physical and tactile. Lighter colors have higher pile, while darker colors are lower.
