200 raised and lowered dots arranged as randomly placed dice shapes.
Pistachio Dice translates the proportions of a pistachio into a textile structure. Each of the 200 dots represents 0.5% of the whole: 20% protein, 48% fat, 22% carbohydrates and 10% other content. The four groups are expressed through different shades and pile heights.
Hand-tufted in 100% New Zealand wool, the rug uses five green-brown tones. Lighter colors have higher pile, while darker colors are lower, making the composition physical as well as visual.
